The Walk

Autumn weather is beginning to make itself felt. The twenty degrees we enjoyed at the beginning of the week is slowly melting away to more normal temperatures for this time of the year. We met at the lay-be near the Angel and walked through Poor Common to West Parley. We then took the path down past the golf course to the River Stour. The water level was lower than we had previously seen it, enabling us to make a detour across what had once been a tributary without getting our feet wet. As we were early at the hotel, we also explored a little of the walks on the opposite side of the river.
After luch we lost Wendy and David but gained Trudy B, Mark and Lucy. The walk took the group back to the starting point.
