The Walk
Hooray
for a day that started out with bright blue skies. We met at Wendy’s in
Broadstone and set out on foot along the trailway – what was once the old
S&D railway – that took us through the top of Broadstone and on towards
Wimborne. The going was good and the weather stayed good for us. We arrived at
the Willett Arms on the outskirts of Wimborne at noon. Jackie joined us soon
after we arrived.After lunch we walked part way back along the trailway and then branched off into Lower Golf Links Road. The rest of the walk was road-based.
We finished off with tea and cakes at Wendy’s. Many thanks Wendy and Lew.
The Pub
The
Willett Arms. The walkers all had the special deal. Two meals for £10 was good
value and tasty food.
